A couple weeks ago I was trying to formulate a marketing plan to get my brand out there and noticed. I realized I was about to complete my MBA and finally jump in head first with the business. Excited and giddy, I started writing down ideas, brainstorming style. And before I knew it, I was sidetracked with a school paper and all of my momentum started to fizzle.
And then something very lucky happened. I got an organic lead thanks to the SEO gods (i.e. my designer) …for 450 cookies! 300 cookies one week, 150 the next. With excitement in my voice, I loudly exclaimed that I was thrilled to take on this job for a marketing firm in Chicago. Turns out, they were looking to deliver goodie baskets to their Nashville clients! How fun!
It didn’t take long to realize this was going to be a multi-day event for me. I carefully gathered supplies, and created a system for how I was going to mass-produce in tiny quarters. After 5 hours in front of a hot oven, I completed my mission. Lucky for me, it was National Chocolate Day, so I celebrated with chocolate + wine.
Next week, I get to do it all over again! And you know what? I can’t wait.
I love my job.
